What Our Customers Say

Prof. Clemens Becker

"We use McRoberts's data platform and analytics pipeline for processing the collected Axivity data."

"At the RbMF and at the Unit of Digital Geriatrics at the University of Heidelberg we are using Axivity sensors for several observational and intervention studies. Together with these sensors we use McRoberts's data platform and analytics pipeline for processing the collected Axivity data.

McRoberts's MoveMonitor algorithm is applied to the data, which provides us with a broad range of validated Digital Mobility Outcomes. Additionally, McRoberts stores all data on their servers and sends it regularly via API to our study database.

The Axivity sensor fits seamlessly in McRoberts ecosystem, which is very helpful when running multi-center studies. I have been working with McRoberts with more than 10 years and am convinced that this systemic approach is what is needed for the upcoming years. I have no conflict of interest to declare. This is my personal opinion."

Prof. Walter Maetzler

"Over the years, we have built a very productive and reliable collaboration with McRoberts. Their team has supported several of our studies, including large international IMI projects such as Mobilise-D and IDEA-FAST."

“Over the years, we have built a very productive and reliable collaboration with McRoberts. Their team has supported several of our studies, including large international IMI projects such as Mobilise-D and IDEA-FAST, where they provided robust data collection and advanced analytics for wearable sensor data.

In IDEA-FAST, McRoberts’ pipeline enabled the centralized processing of thousands of datasets, including the application of the Mobilise-D algorithm at scale.

Beyond these consortia, we also value their continued support in investigator-initiated studies such as COVIDOM and GUIDE-IBD. McRoberts combines technical excellence with a strong understanding of clinical research needs, which makes them a trusted partner for our work.”

Prof. Stephen Lord

We have collected over 1000 weeks of gait and activity of daily living data using McRoberts devices with excellent compliance,” says Professor Stephen Lord, Senior Principal Research Fellow – Falls, Balance and Injury Research Centre – at Neuroscience Research Australia.

Lord continues, “Over the next years we will collect several thousand more weeks of data with McRoberts devices in people with Parkinson’s Disease, MS and cervical cancer and older people taking part in fall prevention exercise programs. We will use the wearable devices to measure gait impairments, fall risk, changing activity levels and to elucidate predictors of longer term health outcomes.

Dr. Alan Hamilton

"If you want to implement activity assessment in clinical trials McRoberts is the company to work with."

"In the field of activity assessment, McRoberts was known to us from the IMI PROactive project as having a genuine scientific interest in activity assessment and openness to get involved in development of new measures and principles," says Alan Hamilton, Therapeutic Area Clinical Expert, Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada). “Following this, we have introduced activity assessment in one of our multicenter clinical trials."

Hamilton continues, "We received high level input during the trial preparation working with McRoberts as partners on the implementation of activity assessment in our trial. McRoberts helped us to capture a broad database of various activity parameters that will enable us to evaluate and describe various aspects of activity important in our trial."

"We experienced short, direct lines of communication with McRoberts, and excellent accessibility of experts, “says Damijan Erzen, Clinical Research Physician, Boehringer Ingelheim (Germany)." "It was very important to us to be able to discuss methodology and calculations of various parameters and gaining a better understanding."

"Activity assessment and various aspects of activity are important components of quality of life in patients and should and will be used more in clinical trials as the new endpoints that are meaningful to patients, and would also be acceptable to regulatory authorities," adds Hamilton.

Hamilton concludes, "If you want to implement activity assessment in clinical trials McRoberts is the company to work with."
