What it Does
MoveMonitor captures human mobility continuously in daily life. By monitoring how people move in their natural environment, it provides an authentic view of functioning, participation, and independence. These insights cannot be obtained in the clinic alone.
Overview of MoveMonitor Digital Mobility Outcomes

Movements
We quantify walking and other forms of movement in daily life, capturing frequency, intensity, and quality. These measures provide insight into overall mobility and functional capacity in real-world conditions.

Body Postures
Our analytics distinguishes between sitting, lying, standing, and transitioning between postures. This allows objective monitoring of sedentary time, active periods, and functional independence.

Energy Expenditure
We estimate energy expenditure based on activity type and intensity, providing both absolute (calories) and relative (METs) values to classify Sedentary, Moderate, and Vigorous Activity, including MVPA.

Sleep Movements
By analyzing body orientation and nighttime movement, we provide objective measures of sleep quality and restlessness. These metrics complement daily mobility outcomes with valuable insights into recovery.

PA Recommendations
We compare a person’s performed physical activity against established guidelines, such as those of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). This enables clear feedback on whether activity levels meet recommended standards for health and fitness.

Mobilise-D DMOs
The Mobilise-D algorithm delivers validated Digital Mobility Outcomes of gait quality, including real-world walking speed, derived from daily-life mobility data. It has undergone rigorous multicenter validation, making it a trusted standard for clinical research and regulatory use.

DynaPort 7
At the heart of both MoveMonitor and MoveTest assessments is our DynaPort 7 sensor, worn comfortably on the lower back. The device combines a 6-axis inertial measurement unit (accelerometer and gyroscope), a barometer, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity, and an onboard ARM processor.
Designed for passive monitoring, the sensor operates without user interaction and can record continuously for up to 7 days without charging. This makes it ideally suited for both real-world and clinical assessments, ensuring consistent, high-quality data across MoveMonitor and MoveTest.
